With more than 6,000 employees and 14,000 students, the Research Campus Garching in north Munich is one of the largest centers for science , research and teaching in Germany. Here you can find a unique concentration of scientific and technological research institutions: The main location of the Technical University of Munich, several institutes of the Max Planck Society, the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich , the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and numerous other renowned institutions and companies.
